First I had to choose a composition.. And out of many different drawings I decided on this one.. It was easier to draw all the objects on Bristol bord and then trace my drawings so I would be able to easily chose a composition.
After that I just shaded what I wanted to be black..
Then I transferred my drawing to a new Bristol paper.. And began blacking out the shaded areas with sharpie..
But this was only the half way point!!! After I had the positive done I had to start the negative.. So I traced my positive drawing with the opposite shading.. And then put transfer paper onto a new Bristol sheet...
Overall I am very happy with how it turned out.. And I was beyond excided about winning best in class for it, especially because of some of my other classmates projects!! Now here are some photos of everyone else's!
Lovely images! I have to admit to some level of jealously. I'm taking 2D at MCC from what must me the most dreadful instructor ever. We don't get to do anything fun like this. Love it! Thanks for sharing the process and the other works, too. I agree, there were quite a number of amazing works there!
